MAPPING - Tuineje

Mapping Canarias is a cultural project promoted by the Biblioteca de Canarias: an interactive digital resource that uses geolocation to rediscover the past and present of Canary municipalities. This map of Tuineje gathers points of interest of history, art, heritage and memory, prepared by the public libraries of each territory.

The Mapping Tuineje project has been devised and developed by the professionals of the public library of Tuineje, in Fuerteventura. From this cultural institution, information from many sources has been gathered and adapted to create a resource on the history, culture and territory of the municipality, from inland Fuerteventura to its coast. A map that brings closer the complexity of Tuineje and of an island shaped by pastoral life, land and the Atlantic.
