MAPPING - Vilaflor

Mapping Canarias is a cultural project promoted by the Biblioteca de Canarias: an interactive digital resource that uses geolocation to rediscover the past and present of Canary municipalities. This map of Vilaflor gathers points of interest of history, art, heritage and memory, prepared by the public libraries of each territory.

The Mapping Vilaflor project has been devised and developed by the professionals of the public library of Vilaflor de Chasna, in southern Tenerife. From this cultural institution, information from many sources has been gathered and adapted to create a resource on the history, art and landscape of Vilaflor, a mid- and high-mountain town linked to Teide National Park. A map that concentrates the memory of this highland municipality and of its living present.
