Miller Building
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria · Category: Art · Subcategory: Urban art · Year: 2013 · Authors: Sabotaje al montaje
This intervention by Sabotaje al montaje took place within the framework of the Temudas Festival, in its 2013 edition. The artist paints on the emblematic Miller building which, together with the Elder, constitute the only remains of the port warehouses built at the end of the 19th century in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, at a time when the nascent Santa Catalina Dock was about to begin unstoppable development until becoming the current Port of La Luz and Las Palmas.
Sabotaje al montaje opts on this occasion for a design of abstract shapes with great colourfulness, in contrast to other creations by this urban artist from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The use of the floor as an integral part of the intervention creates a very interesting dynamic effect, giving the whole a brilliant spontaneity.
