Tribute to Mara González

In the Pilar de Guanarteme neighbourhood, in its main square, this mural was created to pay tribute to the broadcaster Mara González, who passed away in 2006. Its authors are Luna Bengoechea and Acaymo Cuesta, who involved the local community to complete this tile mosaic mural.

Mara González is a very popular figure thanks to programmes such as "Tamaragua, buenos días", which was broadcast for 22 consecutive years.
