The marble bust has two symbolic elements as a base: a laurel crown, alluding to the glory achieved by the subject paid tribute to, and a couple of books referring to his activity as a writer. One of the books' binding has the legend "Esdryxile" etched on it, in a clear reference to the proparoxytone verses that our bard originally applied to his works. Our hero appears draped in his characteristic cannon dress, featuring a line of buttons fastened on the front, with a great realistic touch. His hair is short and wavy with a pronounced receding hairline. His eyes are bright, and he is wearing a subtle smile. His facial features give him a certain personality.
