The former Estadio Insular, the UD Las Palmas football ground that was active from 1949 until 2003, when the team began using the new facilities of the Estadio Gran Canaria, is today an urban park inaugurated in 2015.

This vast space has been transformed into an area for children's play and outdoor sports, but at the same time aims to be a tribute to the history of the yellow team. Two of its façades, protected by Heritage, from the original work of architect Fernando Delgado, have been preserved.
