Ideogram (2004) is a grand and conceptual minimalist work, created by the artist Juan Hidalgo. Conceived and structured with steel tubes, it emerges triumphantly and playfully from a 3,000 square metre lake where it coexists ecologically with swans, ducks and fish, as if it were a modern version of Neptune. It is strategically located in Parque Juan Pablo II, a vast open space nestled in the Siete Palmas area.
At the time of the inauguration of this symbolic work, art critic Clara Muñoz wrote about it: the placement of Ideogram in an urban park and over the waters of a pond creates a void through which to contemplate the city .
