Threshing floors are very important elements of our agricultural heritage. Configured as open-air surfaces prepared for the process of threshing and winnowing cereals, they were fundamental centres of agricultural activity, where community work and cooperation among local neighbours were encouraged.

The threshing floor in the El Tablero neighbourhood is located on a small plateau above the nearby El Chorrillo ravine, taking advantage of its elevated position open to the trade winds to facilitate the winnowing process. Its perimeter is delimited by a thick stone wall and its interior paved floor is in good condition.

This old and interesting agricultural infrastructure is a faithful testimony to the effort and tenacity of the former farmers of El Tablero in bringing their productions forward, making the most of the conditions of their environment.
