In Agustín Millares Sall (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1917-1989) there is an attempt to evoke, through poetic wordplay, the intimate relationship between man and the world, be it social or amorous. What we have before us are writings that exemplify perfectly man's meditation regarding the 20th century world, and in relation to the precise image that the anals of history offer us of the human race of the time. 

With his brother Manolo they were pioneers of the Spanish social poetry movement, and fruit of this curiosity the magazine Planas de Poesía was born. Among his works are: Sueño a la deriva, La sangre que me hierve, El grito en el cielo, La estrella y el corazón, Ofensiva de primavera, Poema de la creación, Siete elegías a un tiempo, Habla viva, Poesía unánime, Función al aire libre, Desde aquí, Andén Verde, Más lejos que yo amargo and Metamorfosis de la estrella. In 1989, the year in which he died, he published La palabra o la vida.
