Group of Houses on the Carretera del Centro

This group of traditional Canarian houses stands at the edge of the Pico Viento road where it meets Tafira Baja. They are very good representative examples of traditional domestic architecture which, in this case, combines rural and urban elements. 

The buildings were constructed under the premise of end bodies with upper floors covered with tiles, joined by a long single-storey longitudinal bay. The openings are framed with ashlar masonry and the corners are reinforced with ashlar blocks.  

They have possibly stood there, almost unaltered, since the 18th century.
