Fernando de Armas Medina (1922-1969) studied history in Seville, where he worked as a teacher and specialised in the evangelisation of Peru. One of his notable works was Seville, Canarias and America. He also directed the Anuario de Estudios Americanos and the Escuela de Estudios Americanos de Sevilla.
