This tribute is the work of Asturian sculptor Amado González Hevia, better known as Favila.

María Dolores Rivero Hernández was born in 1904, and was better known as Lolita Pluma. In Santa Catalina Park she was quite a character, with everyone looking at her and talking about her. She appeared all around the Old Continent in the domestic photo albums of many homes in Stockholm, Gothemburg, Oslo, London, Amsterdam and other cities. The face of Lolita appeared fully dolled up, her hair held up with coloured ribbons, in the company of the many cats and dogs that always hung around her. Lolita Pluma was the queen of Santa Catalina Park, right in the heart of the Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, mainly during a time of great social and economic change in the city, when the park became a meeting place and recreation area for Scandanavian tourists who started coming to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at the end of the 1950s.
