Pedro Perdomo Acedo (1897-1977) was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Although he studied teaching, from a very young age he also worked as a journalist. In 1917 he moved to Madrid, where he worked on the editorial staff of the magazines España and Revista de Occidente . Returning to the Canary Islands in 1927, he actively collaborated in the publication of the magazine La Rosa de los Vientos from Tenerife. Under the name El País de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria , he founded a daily newspaper a year later. After the Civil War, he took charge of the direction of the Diario de Las Palmas .

Among his works are La muerte imaginada, Epitalamio sin fin and Volver es resucitar.
