This bust of Simón Bolívar is located at the upper part of Avenida Benito Pérez Armas, almost at the junction of Islas Canarias and Venezuela avenues.

The work was created by Venezuelan artist Arturo Rus Aguilera and placed here in 1983 as a gift from Venezuela to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as a token of brotherhood, on the bicentenary of the birth of the liberator Simón Bolívar (1783-1830).

It is a bronze bust on a stone column representing the figure in full dress uniform.
