Built at the expense of Matías Rodríguez Carta, the same owner of the palace in Plaza de Candelaria, this building began to be erected in the first quarter of the 18th century in the Church square. It has a three-storey façade with a continuous balcony on the upper floor and great regularity in the wide and well-proportioned openings. Inside it had a granary and a beautiful courtyard. The house, which was already finished in 1742, has been renovated on different occasions; the one suffered in the 20th century transformed fundamental elements of its appearance and typology.
