Amadeo Gabino (Valencia, 1922 - Madrid, 2004). Between 1961-1965 his work developed within constructivist concepts, in two parallel directions: geometric structures of strong architectural rigour ("Construcciones" series), and constructivist works heavily influenced by expressive criteria ("Pleamares" series). Around 1966 his most characteristic style was defined, within constructivism, using a very personal collage technique. He creates an object world of geometric order, superimposing sheets of burnished, gilded or patinated metal, cut into circular, generally concentric shapes. References to spatial engines are frequent. He works in iron, steel, aluminium and brass.
