The neoplastic scheme used by Manuel de la Peña has been recurrent throughout his professional career. The formal response in this case is that of an architecture of simple elements, where the load-bearing structure and the openings constitute the fundamental compositional material. The façades are flat and are shaped through the interplay between perforations and planes; their rhythm is provided by the mullions and transoms of the carpentry, which are unified through the external expression of the porticoed structure of beams and pillars, emphasised and highlighted on the external surface.
