The Federico García Lorca Municipal Library is located in the populous neighbourhood of Ofra and was the second branch library created within the Municipal Library System dependent on the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council with management by the Autonomous Culture Organism.

It was founded in April 1995 with the intention of bringing culture closer and encouraging interest in reading in the peripheral neighbourhoods of the city. It currently has a collection of nearly 13,000 documents, including books, magazines and DVDs.
