The La Salud neighbourhood had its first cinema following the inauguration in 1949 of the Crespo Cinema which, initially, was configured as a space for open-air screenings.

Subsequently, and after changing ownership, the venue was roofed over, becoming a conventional cinema hall. From that moment it was called Princesa Cinema. It remained active as a neighbourhood cinema until 1976.
