Monument to "Crosita"

In 1954 a monument to Diego Crosa Costa (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1869-1942), popularly known as "Crosita", whose paintings, drawings and popular couplets about the island were very well known and appreciated in their time, was inaugurated in a secluded corner of García Sanabria Park, next to the swimming pool or large pond. The promoter of the tribute and author of the project was the painter Francisco Bonnín Guerin, erecting on a pedestal a bust that Nicolás Granados Raimundo had executed years earlier.
