This mural was created by Lanzarote artist César Manrique in 1985 and reproduced on the rear wall of the building corresponding to number 114 on San Sebastián Avenue in 1997. The work consists of 30 marine sheet metal panels decorated with acrylic paint as a geometric interpretation of a fish combining a dual perspective of frontal and aerial views. In this way, the artist shows the two halves of the fish using the same three-dimensional representation code found in some of his most significant sculptures. The seven colours used for this mural are warm, with earthy tones standing out especially. The figure is rendered using flat inks. 

In 2015, the work underwent a comprehensive restoration process by the City Council, which included replacing the panels most affected by wear, removing non-functional screw materials, and restoring the basic support elements that had disappeared. Likewise, the sanding of lifted colour areas was carried out, as well as their complete renewal.

The mural is an integral part of an urban space formed by a small triangular square connecting San Sebastián Street with the Galcerán Bridge. Flying Fish is listed as a Cultural Asset.
