In 2013 the Gran Canarian author José Luis Correa (1962) published, under the title Blue Christmas , the sixth installment of the noir novel series featuring detective Ricardo Blanco. 

Set during the Christmas period, Blanco will face a story of drugs and social issues, with unemployment, evictions and misery as the backdrop; always in the city of Las Palmas.
