This is the title of the noir novel that began the journey of the fictional character and detective Ricardo Blanco, created by the Gran Canarian author José Luis Correa (Las Palmas, 1962), which has given rise to one of the most interesting series of Spanish crime novels in recent years. 

Fifteen Days of November , like almost all the works of this author, is set against the backdrop of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with many very specific places in the city reflected in its pages. Such is the case with the description of where the main character works. 

“The offices of the Blanco & Moyano Detective Agency are right in Triana street, in an old two-storey building that we share with an architectural studio, a tailor’s and an elderly lady who seems to live in the ark because of all the strange animals she has there.”

Later in the novel, the author takes us on a tour of the city’s main streets in this way:

“Although I was engrossed in those calculations, something I saw in the rear-view mirror caught my attention. There was a car behind me, a dark blue car that had been installed on the mirror since I left the parking lot. It turned with me every time I did. Even when I made a mistake looking for the motorway and had to turn around at the Belén María roundabout, the blue car did the same. I tried to see if my suspicions were deceiving me, but the car turned right behind me on Juan XXIII. I stopped to get petrol and, when I returned to the street, I thought I had lost sight of it. But two minutes later it was there again like a bloody nuisance fly.”
