This building located at the corner between Jesús y María and Robayna streets was designed by architect Miguel Arricivita Calvet in 1972 as the Provincial Police Station of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

A five-storey work with architectural aesthetics framed within the brutalist movement, it bears no relation to the constructions around it. Built on an irregular corner plot, it features a striking façade of striated exposed concrete and coloured aluminium carpentry. The most interesting part of the building is found at the corner, where a singular chamfer with reliefs of abstract figures on three levels becomes the main façade, featuring here an overhang, like a canopy, that covers the main entrance. On the sides of the building and at the top we observe cantilevered sections that break the monotony of the whole ensemble.

Construction works took place between 1973 and 1974, the year it was completed. Today it continues to serve as the Provincial Police Station of the National Police.
