Sepulchral and Habitation Cave of El Chorrillo Ravine

In the natural course of the El Chorrillo ravine, very close to the town of El Tablero, there is a group of natural caves that served as dwelling and burial sites for the island’s aboriginal inhabitants. Particularly notable is a large hollow showing clear signs of recent pastoral reuse. It has an exterior arrangement with a small dry stone wall, intended to level the ground. Near this cave to the west, two narrow crevices with optimal conditions for funerary use are located. Around these hollows stands a basalt prism with aboriginal rock inscriptions.
