Taganana Priest's Dragon Tree

This impressive dragon tree ( Dracaena draco ) is located next to the parish house of Taganana, within the grounds known as "La Finca del Cura", about 100 metres above the village church. 

The specimen reaches 14 metres in height and almost 5.5 in circumference. It has 16 branches and its estimated age is around 240 years.

It is on the edge of an orchard, next to a wall, with an old pine-torch irrigation channel running at its base. On the other side of the house there is another magnificent dragon tree specimen whose crown branching seems to reach perfection.
