Mural to Saúl

In December 2022 this mural was created on Tano Street in the Santa María del Mar neighbourhood. The work is a heartfelt tribute to the young Saúl, aged 15, who died as a result of the first fatal electric scooter accident in the province on 11 December 2022. 

The mural was conceived by urban artists Víctor Seus and Attograph Amsterdam; friends, family and neighbours of Saúl himself participated in its execution. 

Although the work was completed on 29 December 2022, the day the young man would have turned 16, the wall was prepared a week in advance, with neighbours whitewashing and painting the wall white so it would be ready for the artistic intervention, where Saúl’s face is framed in various blue geometric motifs on a white background.

This urban art work is, ultimately, an emotional tribute that aims to keep the memory of the young man alive, while also seeking to raise awareness among young people of the dangers of the road and the need to increase safety more intensely when using a vehicle such as the electric scooter.
