On a huge retaining wall enclosing the gardens of the Los Gladiolos buildings, the urban artist Erik Air created, at the beginning of 2026, with the help of local residents, a brightly coloured artistic work.

The intervention covers an area of more than 200 square metres and is the result of a collaboration of ideas arising from several meetings at the Casa de la Juventud Mascareño (Mascareño Youth Centre), always with the clear aim of reflecting on community values typical of the city’s neighbourhoods. These contributions, based on coexistence, collaboration, mutual support, closeness and human connection as basic elements for young people to achieve their dreams and develop their projects, were captured in the work of the graffiti artist Erik Air.

With a very fluid style, clearly reminiscent of pop art, and marked by the participation in the project of DJ Jonay, a prominent figure in the music scene and closely linked to the neighbourhood, the artistic intervention sought to add a symbolic value that connected with the deep idiosyncrasy of Los Gladiolos.
