Numancia Kiosk
Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Architecture · Subcategory: Civil architecture · Year: 1930?
This is one of the most traditional cafés and terraces in all of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It has been located, since the early 1930s, in the upper part of Parque García Sanabria, before the junction of Avenida Veinticinco de Julio with Numancia street.
The building, with a square floor plan, has openings on its sides that function, on three of its sides, as bar counters, and on the remaining side as a door and window. At the corners, there are groups of three small classical-style columns. The whole is crowned by a roof with cornices and a decorative artistic finial.
The Numancia Kiosk has always been a meeting place for various groups of people, especially enthusiasts of cars and the motor world.
