Hacienda La Cruz
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria · Category: Architecture · Subcategory: Civil architecture · Year: S. XVIII
Building located in the Tafira area, with a clear appearance of traditional Canarian architecture, built in the 18th century as a rural estate and residence of the owners of the surrounding lands.
The building has a "U"-shaped plan body, along with another volume that projects out of line on the west side and a courtyard enclosed by a façade. The construction consists of two longitudinal bays with pitched tiled roofs, plus another transverse flat-roofed bay that connects them. All are of various sizes and heights. The wall of the entrance with a diamond-pointed finish and the closures of the sash windows stand out.
