Las López Wine Press

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria · Category: Architecture · Subcategory: Industrial architecture · Year: S. XVII

Traditional type construction built in one of the most representative wine-growing areas of the municipality of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Built in the 17th century as an estate dedicated to vine cultivation and wine production, it was renovated in the 19th century following a new boom in the commercial activity of this product.

The complex is a very elongated single-storey structure, set at the edge of the road. Access is from the east side through a lintelled opening framed in ashlar masonry. The hip roofs are tiled. Due to its function, the number and size of the openings are limited. The entire complex has reinforced corners with ashlar masonry.
