This sculpture, located since 2013 in Isabel II square, was made by the Santa Cruz artist María Belén Morales Gómez (1928-2016) in the workshops of the Fundación Bronzo. Its title, at first, was An doriña.

The work is made of bronze and its undulating silhouette allows us to realise the fragility of its figure, which contrasts with the sturdy material used.

The sculpture was the result of a commission made to the artist by the Montessori School, an educational centre always very aware of education in values, as a tribute and memory of all the women who have suffered the scourge of machismo over time.
