San Lucas Building

Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Architecture · Subcategory: Civil architecture · Year: 1977 · Authors: Jorge Picazo Díaz

Located at the corner of Tomé Cano Street and Almirante Díaz Pimienta, this building designed by architect Jorge Picazo in 1974 is one of the most interesting construction works in the area.

Its bare and simple constructive nature is what makes it stand out. A framework of beams, pillars and painted blocks combine with carpentry very appropriate to the proposal.

Horizontal lines, formal simplicity, an exterior wall with a curious enclosure and gardens with carefully tended vegetation give the whole complex a great urban quality.
