This voluminous building located at the corner of Castillo street with Suárez Guerra was built between 1926 and 1928 under the plans of architect Domingo Pisaca for the developer Antonio Vivanco Santillán.

The building presents a true showcase of all the eclectic resources employed by its author. With grandiloquence, Pisaca resorts to the giant double order, the large cartouches applied to the blind walls, and the multiple crowning elements of very varied shapes. The location where the building was erected, one of the most significant corners of the city's main commercial artery, was the reason for the technician to give free rein to fantasy combined with monumentality.
