This building houses a huge supply and wholesale purchasing centre for food products. The project was carried out in 1976 by the team of architects called "Equipo La Solana", composed of José Ángel Domínguez Anadón, Francisco Artengo Rufino, Carlos Schwartz Pérez and José Domínguez Pastor.

The property, although the guidelines were set by the state market company Mercasa, presents several interesting considerations. Its main characteristic is its length, determined by the volume of commercial activity to be developed; but accompanying this are a series of architectural elements capable of benefiting, by intrinsic conditions, from the pure dimension. Thus, imaginative vaults, glazing and exposed structures appear.

The work was completed in 1978.
