Casas de Abajo de Tamaraceite

Shortly after the conquest, houses began to be built in the Tamaraceite area; some have survived to this day.

Those we analyse were built at the beginning of the 17th century. They are a group of one- and two-storey buildings formed by a longitudinal bay with a double-pitched tiled roof. They were constructed with ashlar blocks and mortar. The openings feature an excellent straight lintel with carved shelves and, in some cases, a wooden covered balcony supported on posts.

The entire complex forms a compact unit, highlighting the constructive value of the best tradition of rural domestic architecture.
