Mural on the corner of Candelaria Street with Imeldo Serís
Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Art · Subcategory: Urban art · Year: 2024 · Authors: Louis Lambert
On one of the most central corners of the city, between Candelaria and Imeldo Serís streets, on a blind wall facing the latter, the Moeve Foundation (formerly Cepsa) and the Autonomous Culture Organisation of the City Council (OAC) have carried out a striking mural that forms part of the Immerse Yourself in Santa Cruz initiative, a project that since 2012 has been promoting urban art and creativity with the aim of beautifying the city.
In this case, the mural is the work of the French artist based in Tenerife, Louis Lambert, who at the end of 2024 set out to cover with his design a large blind wall of one of the oldest buildings in the area.
Lambert, with a style clearly inspired by impressionist guidelines, based his work on the native flora of the Macizo de Anaga Biosphere Reserve, an emblematic landscape of Santa Cruz and the island of Tenerife. The author used a wide range of warm and vivid colours to invite reflection on natural beauty and the connection between inhabitants and their environment.
