This urban art mural piece was created by the Tenerife artist Ione Domínguez in April 2019 at the entrance to the Valleseco neighbourhood. The work shows us a female fisherwoman depicted in a setting reminiscent of the interiors of the houses in the neighbourhood itself; at the same time, we also find various elements related to the nearby coastline. Everything is crafted under a surrealist prism, close to magical realism, which gives it a dreamlike character.

The mural was created under the auspices of La Factoría de Cohesión and the Fundación Cepsa, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as part of the initiative ‘Sumérgete en Santa Cruz’ (Immerse yourself in Santa Cruz), committed to giving artistic meaning to places with deteriorated walls or little aesthetic value.
