Francisco Martín González Printing House

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria · Category: Memory · Subcategory: Memory spaces · Year: 1875

This printing house, founded by the printer Francisco Martín González, operated in Las Palmas between 1875 and, perhaps, 1882. The workshop was located on Calle Montesdeoca and was initially known as "El Independiente". It specialised in a large production of prints made using a high-quality manual press.

Martín González moved to Arrecife, Lanzarote, where in 1889 he published the Resumen de la historia de Lanzarote y Fuerteventura by the scholar and historian from Fuerteventura Antonio María Manrique y Saavedra (1837-1907).
