This building, located in the urban centre of the capital of Tenerife, underwent a long process from its first sketch, back in 1958, until its completion in 1970. During these twelve years, its author, architect Rubens Henríquez, worked on several solutions, evolving from the conception of the work as a ten-storey high-rise exclusively for apartments, to a lower building, with a commercial ground floor, four floors for offices-professional offices, and the top two floors intended for housing.

The final result can be seen in its powerful exterior appearance, configured through two completely different façades. The main one, facing Ángel Guimerá street and Weyler square, features a fundamental characteristic of transparent horizontality that plays with the large windows of the lower floors and the continuous balconies of the upper ones. The second façade, facing X street, smaller in area, is very interesting due to the treatment of the material used, consisting of a reddish volcanic stone that covers a blind wall.

Inside, we must highlight the magnificent finishes, especially in the entrance hall, where the use of Canary pine wood links the building to the islands' native construction tradition.
