Located in the Tomé Cano area, the Isla de Tenerife Building was designed in 1974 by architects Javier Díaz-Llanos and Vicente Saavedra. 

Its structure rests on a large exposed concrete block, intended to house commercial premises and offices, which acts as the base for the rest of the building. From here rises a slender prismatic body of ten floors but with a modest volume. This second body, intended for housing, shows on its façades a curious contrast between the panels finished with washed marble aggregate mortar in tobacco colour and the intensive use of vertical wooden slat blinds.

The building, completed in 1977, is an architectural work of extraordinary constructive rigour and absolutely committed to the ideas of architectural modernity.
