Housing in Ofra

In the Ofra neighbourhood, whose partial plan had been drafted at the beginning of the 1960s, we find this interesting housing complex made up of three buildings designed in 1972 by architects Javier Díaz-Llanos and Vicente Saavedra, as official protection housing promoted by the Caja de Ahorros de Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Savings Bank of Santa Cruz de Tenerife). 

From this group of buildings, the fifteen-storey tower stands out clearly, which in its slender vertical development features a varied location of terraces on some floors, resulting in a heterogeneous geometry of cantilevers that break the volumetric monotony.

Inside we find the flats, three per floor with four bedrooms each, where the spaces are efficiently distributed.

The lower areas of the buildings are open-plan and intentionally interact with the vegetation of the complex's gardens, which was completed in 1975.
