The Cuchillitos de Tristán Park is an attractive green area located on the outskirts of the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Situated between the neighbourhoods of Las Delicias, the Ofra Industrial Estate, Miramar and Camino del Hierro, it covers a total area of 32,500 square metres and owes its name to the old estate on which it now stands.

It was inaugurated in February 2007 following the design and project of the architect Fernando Martín Menis, which adapted to the significant slopes of the area's rugged original topography, while also taking advantage of the magnificent views over the city and the Anaga mountains.

The park is divided into three well-defined areas: the western half, defined by a large roughly circular grassed esplanade resembling a meadow; the northern part, which functions as an attractive viewpoint over the existing views; and the southern part, which evokes volcanic lava flows, where the play areas are located for the enjoyment of children, young people, adults and seniors. The entire layout of the complex is conceived in the style of an "English garden", with winding paths that define open and natural spaces.

Regarding vegetation, pre-existing trees were preserved and transplanted palm trees from other parts of the city were reused, adding new tall trees that contrast with the wide open meadows intended for various outdoor activities. In addition, some native species were planted which, on the rocky slopes that form the terraces and on the slopes of the viewpoint promontory, cover the rocky accumulations as if it were a ravine slope.

In short, the Cuchillitos de Tristán Park is configured as an inviting green area away from the urban centre, providing leisure and recreation to one of the most densely populated sectors of the city.
