The Wall or Story of a Balance is the work of the Gran Canaria sculptor, painter and architect Juan Bordes. It is a bronze sculpture featuring a scenography of five figures in different postures placed on a large structure which is divided into two parts: the upper part consists of blind panels (which could be related to the opposite wall which is also a blind grey wall), and the lower part where the bodies are placed. The result is a large screen or showcase displaying human movements with the muscular tensions typical of physical activity.
This work was initially located on La Rambla, opposite a side of the Almeida Barracks wall, but was later moved to Avenida de Anaga, right in front of the old stairs that gave access to the port area.
