This building of clear rationalist style was designed in 1929 by the architect Miguel Martín Fernández de la Torre for the widow of Bonello, owner of a magnificent plot located at the corner of Malteses Street and Cano Street.

Situated between two old constructions, the building proposed by Martín Fernández de la Torre is configured as an excellent example of corner rationalist architecture intended to house commercial premises on the ground floor and residences on the three upper floors; both uses are separated by a spectacular concrete slab that runs along the first floor like a visor. We highlight its exterior simplicity of forms, the arrangement of the openings connected by horizontal lines, and the setback in the corner solution.

Completed in 1931, this building proudly displays the new concepts that architect Miguel Martín was popularising at that time: residences without exterior ornaments and functional interiors.
