Núñez Building
Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Architecture · Subcategory: Civil architecture · Year: 1934 · Authors: José Blasco Robles
We are faced with a building designed by architect José Blasco in 1932 (completed in 1934) for the developer Ángel Núñez, located at the corner of Isabel II square and La Marina street.
Blasco managed to solve the chamfer with an admirable use of the views and delicately and expressively resolved the neutral path of the façade through a layout of undulating parallel lines, which gives it great dynamism.
The work is full of intentions in the design of the elements and in the finish, exerting a profound influence on some architects settled in the islands at that time who later reflected in their buildings solutions first tried out in this work.
