Preckler Building
Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Architecture · Subcategory: Civil architecture · Year: 1939 · Authors: José Blasco Robles
A rationalist solution building designed by the architect José Blasco in 1939 for Antonio Preckler on Calle Teniente Martín Bencomo, near a corner in the upper part of Avenida 25 de julio.
The owner commissioned a building to accommodate two dwellings in the same building. The technician Blasco designed a two-storey block facing the street and, from the first bay, a second block of one more storey, which is the access area where the interior staircase leads to the rooftop, thus unifying the arrangement of the volumes.
Balconies, mouldings and recessed panels are deployed on the façade with rationality and aesthetic sense.
