This is one of the great suburban houses of early 20th-century Santa Cruz, located, at that time, in the middle of an estate at what was the beginning of the Rosario road, precisely at the corner of the upper part of San Sebastián street (today Avenida de Bélgica) with what would later be known as Avenida de Las Asuncionistas.

Despite the disappearance of the project and file, the resolution of the work allows it to be included within the repertoire of the architect Mariano Estanga, who designed it around 1910. The building's typology follows the tradition of a rural villa.

It has an attractive façade inspired by French models of the Second Empire of Napoleon II's Paris. Inside, a central space covered with an iron and glass roof distributes the space where the various domestic functions take place. 

The family owning the house, related to an important politician and minister of the Second Republic, was forced to sell the property after the Civil War, turning it into a nursery of the Obra del Movimiento. After Franco's death, it became part of the patrimonio of the Gobierno de Canarias (Government of the Canary Islands).
