Martín Expósito House

Elegant three-storey building designed in 1905 by the architect Mariano Estanga for the owner Bernardo Martín Expósito. It is located in the heart of the Rambla de Santa Cruz.  

It is a building with a clear eclectic tendency where the broad vertical emphasis of its façade stands out. It consists of a base and two floors, each with three aligned openings. On the first level there is a central projecting continuous balcony with parapet and balustrade with four supports that hold another balcony with curved corners. The building is topped by a balustraded closure of the flat roof. 

The property had a small front garden enclosed by an interesting metal gate; as well as a side courtyard overlooking a new volume with terrace and balcony with balusters. 

This is an interesting example of the finest eclectic architecture built in Santa Cruz at the beginning of the 20th century, intended to be occupied by the wealthiest classes of the city.
