Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Category: Memory · Subcategory: Sites of memory · Year: 1656

This pair of joint batteries was installed in 1656 on the initiative of general commander Dávila Guzmán on the beach known as Roncadores, which stretched along what is today the section of Avenida de Anaga between the Usos Múltiples building and the passenger terminal of the port. The first battery had two bronze pieces and the second had three. They were completely destroyed and left in ruins after Blake's attack on Santa Cruz on 30 April 1657.
